Cream of Mushroom Soup

Last day of Vegan MoFo!  It’s been a great month.   Vegan MoFo has been a great inspiration for me.  It has encouraged me to actually spend time posting on my blog.  It has gotten me to spend more time inventing and experimenting with my own recipes.  It has also introduced me to a lot of new vegan food bloggers, who I am excited to keep following.

Kale Ranch Powder

This photography thing is really tough.  My husband tried to explain it to me, and I sort of get it conceptually, but in practice I usually wind up with blurry pictures or pictures where the focus area is too small.  Oh, and pictures that are dark.  Really dark.  Presumably I need some sort of light box.  The only reason my pictures are as good as they are is because my husband is a photographer and so I can borrow his SLR.  I know that in theory you can take good pictures on a point-and-shoot, but I’ll tell you that having an SLR makes a huge difference.

Ras El Hanout Squash Seeds

One part of eating home-grown is figuring out how to deal with the ebbs and flows of produce.  You might get 6 squash in one week, but that’s it for the year.  Tomatoes and berries tend to ripen in clusters.  You don’t want to waste anything, but there’s only so much you can do with something in one week.
